Launch of report on Australian community attitudes to people with a mental illness

26 July 2007

A major report on Australian community attitudes towards people with a mental illness will be launched by Wesley Mission on Monday, 30 July, in Sydney.

The survey conducted by Wesley Mission and Urbis Keys Young reveals the changing nature of community attitudes towards people with a mental illness. The survey results are contained in the report, Living with Mental Illness: Attitudes, Experiences and Challenges. The report makes a raft of recommendations relating to the workplace, service delivery, community education, housing, and support for carers.
