Wesley Mission care work aided by da Vinci sponsorship

12 June 2007

Da Vinci marketing, a valued partner of Wesley Mission for two years, this year took the responsibility of sponsoring the Mission’s Corporate Award for 2007, helping to secure much-needed support for caring for people suffering hardship.

The award is given to a company which has contributed not only financially but given support wholeheartedly in the donation of goods or volunteering or supporting Wesley Business Units, and this year the award went to hamper company Chrisco.

Earlier this year, Chrisco opened its Auburn warehouse to provide $50,000 worth of new household equipment, electrical goods, toys and other goods for Mission centres that care for homeless families and intellectually disabled people.

Da Vinci Marketing, a marketing consultancy which helps the Mission project its work among the disadvantaged to the public, fully understands the importance placed by the Mission on securing corporate partnerships of integrity that would expand care programs for those suffering hardship.

Penny Couchman, Director for Marketing at da Vinci, made the award to Chrisco at Wesley Mission’s annual Spirit of Mission dinner on 31 May to the applause of the Mission’s major donors.

“Da Vinci is proud of the work Wesley Mission does in our community, and we are proud of our contribution to Wesley Mission’s business,” Ms Couchman said.

“Wesley Mission plays a critical role in raising awareness and providing support for social advocate topics such as mental health and financial stress, something that touches us all in some way.

“It is important to recognise and applaud those people and companies who often go unnoticed for their amazing work in helping create a better community, right now,” Ms Couchman said.
